DR. MODESTO CHUA NAMED OUTSTANDING CHEMIST FOR 2001

CONGRATULATIONS! to DR. MODESTO T. CHUA Professor, Department of Chemistry Institute Director, PIPAC For the Award of Outstanding Chemist for 2001 Given by the Professional Regulation Commission June 20, 2001, PICC, Manila In recognition of his most distinguished contribution to the chemistry profession in various capacities as Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Ateneo de Manila University from 1970 up to the present; as pioneer in the development of research in medicinal plants in the country particularly in the field of phytochemistry; and as founder of the Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Inc., dedicated to analytical services for industry and which has become an industry standard in terms of reliable chmical analysis in the country.
