SUMMARY:Chemical Risks and Hazard Assessment\, GHS and Waste Management
DESCRIPTION:The Chemical Risks and Hazard\, GHS and Waste Management seminar is a two day seminar which deals with the basic techniques in risk assessment\, proper chemical inventory\, proper chemical labeling and storage\, and risk control. All of which includes hands-on training. Coverage includes introduction to the REACH regulations\, CLP process\, hazard identification\, GHS Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) essentials\, control banding nanomaterials\, GHS process\, interpreting the contents of the Material Safety Daa Sheet (MSDS)\, creating an inventory system for chemicals\, using the GHS for chemical and wastes labelling\, and proper storage of chemicals based on the hazards and risks brought by the chemical.. \nRequisite Competencies: The participants should have a familiarity with the parts of the Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)\, and the symbols used in the GHS. They should have access to a laboratory either in an industrial or academic setting.
