The Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry is an independent, non-for-profit scientific institute. PIPAC was founded in 1973 with the help of substantial scientific equipment from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Ministry for Economic Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1984, a JICA grant put up a 3-storey fully-equipped building on land made available by the Ateneo de Manila University.

PIPAC conducts chemical analysis, research, and training for academe, industry, government, and the public. PIPAC’s solid reputation for fast, accurate, and reliable results is a testament to its commitment to uphold international standards and methods.
