Our Logo

The PIPAC logo symbolizes what PIPAC is all about:

PIPAC logo

The hexagon represents benzene, an important organic chemical compound. Inside it is crystal salt shaped like a cube, an example of inorganic compound. Chemistry is divided into organic and inorganic chemistry, and in PIPAC, both are our concern and areas of competence.

The benzene ring also connotes stability: the stability brought about by cooperation through sharing. In the case of benzene, it is sharing of electrons among the carbon atoms through resonance. PIPAC came about because of the cooperation and sharing of resources among academe, industry and government. It will thrive and endure because it holds itself to a deep sense of mission.

The logo was designed by Mr. Mark Mallari.
