Description: The Building a Safe and Compliant Laboratory seminar discusses the basic requirements of planning, and designing chemical laboratory using the concepts of chemical safety and chemical security coupled by local and international chemical regulatory requirements. Using international safety and regulatory standards, participants will gain skills in designing laboratories based on the goal of the chemical laboratory, the potential hazards commonly encountered, available hazard management and minimizing techniques, and recommended physical safety and security measures. Through this seminar, laboratories are designed to be regulatory complaint, safe from chemical hazards and secure from external threats.
